I love 3 day weekends. Even though the 4th of July was last weekend I figured I'd better catch up before our California trip next week. On Saturday we went to Mission Hills Park which is not too far from our house for a GVR staff party. No, we don't work there, but Papa Wally does and invited us for lunch and fun in the water. We also did a lot of errands and Mason took a nice long nap. Here are pics from Saturday, July 2nd 2011.
On Sunday after church we hung out together and cooked and baked, and had a thunderstorm even. The power even went out for a brief moment. Mason thought playing in the rain was fun, and it was nice to be home.
On Monday the 4th we went shopping, got a new camera (whoo hoo!) hit some good sales for some things we need before leaving town and then after Mason's nap went to my mom's for dinner before heading over to Green Valley Ranch to watch the fireworks. Mason stayed awake and loved them.
Here are some shots of Mason at home on July 5th. He will be two already on the 27th! Can't believe how 'grown up' he looks and how much he's talking and repeating everything we do (good and bad!)
Well, that's what we have been up to and trying to get caught up at work and home so we can leave on our 4 day trip next week to Legoland! We also are getting ready for Mason's birthday at the end of the month and lots of other family things, cousins in town, family photos, etc. Busy summer months!
