Fans and Carousels

This past weekend we decided to get a few things done.  First, we took down the old fan that came with the house (been a year in the new house already this upcoming weekend!) because it doesn't match any other light fixtures in the house or furniture.  Its white and brass, everything else is silver.  Here is the before picture:
Old non-matching fan (if anyone wants it its yours!)
I went grocery shopping an apparently Mason wore a foam firefighter hat as protection while Chuck was installing the new fan (notice the mess and ladder in the background from opening the new fan from the box).
The new, matching fan that is bigger and keeps the living room a lot cooler!  Got it on sale at Home Depot!

Then, after the fan was installed we went to The District to go to Williams-Sonoma to buy this for Mason's birthday in a couple months: Super Cute Cars 2 Pan.  They didn't have the cookie cutters in yet but had a cute apron.  I couldn't resist the pan, its heavy duty and so cute in person.  While we were there it was "Mutts on Main Street" day which was a pet adoption for rescued dogs.  Mason had a blast seeing all the vendors with all the different dog breeds.  Since we were there and it was nice outside we strolled over to the Carousel across the street to let Mason ride.  Luckily, it was free (I don't know if it always is or just is sometimes).  Mason wouldn't get on the animals to ride  but would sit on the benches on the Carousel and point to the horses saying "horsie, neigh!"  Here are some pictures from the Carousel park:
Chuck and Mason going around and around as Mason says, I took him once as well.
Mason and Chuck watching the Carousel before riding around it again.
Mason loves to run and did many laps across the grass, luckily it wasn't too hot outside yet!
Mason watching other kids and Chuck getting ready to fly a plane in those aviators.
Mason liked pointing out the different animals as they went by, it wasn't busy at all for an early Saturday.
This is cute, Mason wanted to ride again and took Chuck's hand and led him to the gate.
To get Mason away from the Carousel so we could eventually leave we let him play in a broken sprinkler and run through the mud.
Mason took a good nap at home then we went to pick up some shoes, get dog food and look for birthday supplies for his party.  I know its not for a couple months but the treat bags, most the decorations and planning is done!  Last year's Robot party started when he was probably 6 months old to get ready! LOL
