On Saturday (yesterday) we went to the Clark County Fair in Logandale, Nevada. We have never been before.... and it was interesting. It was raining and hailing and freezing. Luckily when we got there, it was just drizzling and that stopped before we got in the gates. But it was pretty cold. We hung out in the livestock sheds to keep warm. Then the clouds left and it was sunnier but still colder than was comfortable. We stayed just a few hours. Mason is a little too small to go on the rides even though he broke down because he wanted to go on the motorcycle ride SO bad. Parents couldn't go and he was too little to go by himself. He liked the pig races, little baby pigs raced around a track for Oreos and one of them swam across a trough.
When I went to download the fair pictures I found this on the camera, Chuck takes pictures of him and Mason randomly....Mason watching two billy goats ram horns, it was cute, they thought they were real big goats.
Checking out the chickens, there were so many sizes, colors and shapes of chickens.
Mason liked the "boos" (that is how he moos). These were miniature cows, perhaps for beef sliders? We met Aunt Nessa there too.
There were rows of cages of bunnies, roosters, chickens and other small animals.
Mason thought the baby ducks and chicks were cute and kept saying "babies!"
He liked playing in the dirt around the corrals. Waiting for muttin' bustin to start.
Not exactly a real cowboy but you know, he's trying.
This was like a 5 year old riding a sheep, it was hilarious. And very entertaining.
Mason LOVED the "mini monster trucks" but wasn't fooled and kept saying "bicycle" (that is what he calls 4 wheelers). They were just ATV's with a monster truck body but would jump and race and he kept saying "Oh wow!" the whole time. We met up with my dad and his family at the fair and ate at a place in Logandale on the way home called "VIP Chinese Food and American BBQ". Because really, when does BBQ and Chinese food NOT go together? The restaurant also sold old VHS tapes and Fila and K-Swiss Shoes. Yup.
Haha, I love your last couple sentences. Also love that you started blogging. Cute pictures!
